Ok guys and gals, I need some help here, I want to take my family of 7 (not including the 2 year old so possibly 8) camping for Labor Day weekend. I am hoping that all you outdoors people, can help me figure out something affordable. Paying per person adds up. Hoping for either something near the Mississippi or was thinking maybe over by Faribault. Any ideas would be appreciated. Would be two tents no electric needed. Thanks Mary
Try Camp Dells down by Waterville? I think that’s where it is!
They have a Ton of things for the kids! Minigolf, Petting zoo, horse and pony rides, big swimming pool and and excellent kids/adult water park, basketball court and playgrounds, tennis court! Most kids bring their bikes and bike a round.
I can’t remember how much it cost or if the have any openings, but we had a great time!!
Welcome Mary. Great to have you with us. Both places are very nice places. Camp Dells is across the street from Lake Sekata [sp] and has different things for kids to do. If the kids like to fish and swim then Everts Resort is a very nice place to be. Lots of beech area [which Camp Dells doesn’t have] so swimming is right at your feet and fishing is there right off the docks [which is better than Camp Dells]. You would be close to Red Wing for shopping, restauants, etc. Dean who runs the fishing resort is a great guy and will treat you right. 
Hes also a fisherman so he can provide lots of fishing tips to the kids too. Again, great to have you with us.
