Nate Cadwell and Todd Peterson were caught red handed [by camera] fishing a bass tournament tonight on Lake Zumbro. Every Tuesday night there is a bass tournament and the walleyeboys decided to give it a try. Not enough eye tourneys now like there is in the spring so they decided to chase after the bass with the bass guys. I was at the weigh in and everyone had a very good time. Eric told me that in a couple weeks the tournament day will change to Sunday mornings from 7-11 am. Very fun tournament to fish so if you are looking for an extra excuse to get on the water heres a reason to do so. Just show up at 4:30-4:45 on Tuesday night as take off is at 5:00 and its only 20.00 per boat entry fee. Great bunch of guys. Lots of fun.
ps. Don’t think you need a big bass boat either. The boats were anywhere from 14 ft boats to the regular bass boats. I showed up at the weigh in beaching my 14 ft jon boat with only a 9.9 hp motor and was asked how many fish I caught. I explained to the guy that I was just out bluegill fishing and thought I’d come to the weigh in so as you can see you can fish out of any size boat.
