Went out to Willow Creek this AM to test drive a new rod and reel from HOF and who did I run into, Troy Pike. He was with a buddy and they were launching his rig for some panfishing. We had a nice conversation about Willow Creek, shook hands and away they went. They worked the area all around, but narrowed in one particular spot, because I could see the marker they set out. I could tell when it got slow because they widened the circle around the marker.
Comeon Troy, tell us how you guys did today. Got me lots of babies and one nice bass. Troy is the Willow Creel geru.

We did pretty good today at willow creek. We were there about 4 hours and caught about 60 panfish, half were pretty small but the others were very nice fish. They liked a small piect of the trusty old night crawler today over the HOF waxies today. We found that trolling slowly with an ice fishing jig worked better over bobber fishing for some reason, They just liked the bait moving today. Troy Pike

Hmmmmm, HOF nightcrawlers over HOF waxies. Thanks for the tip. Did you put your canoe in? Did your daughter catch more than everyone else? [shes a great little fishergal] What colors worked best? Thanks for the tips Bud.

Ashley wanted to stay at the grandparents. We fished with the boat. Pink and orange worked best. Troy Pike
