Yes, Mike is the kind of guy we want to keep around. My prayers and thoughts are with him.

Bill,
As you and many know, I personally know the power of prayer, particularly in the heart surgery area. Ours will continue. It sounds like Mike is one person I should have the pleasure of knowing. All along I knew his rods were special, I am beginning to understand much more as to why.dave
June 29, 2005 at 6:38 pm #370680Mike is one of a kind…..that’s for sure!!!
Just a good hearted man who can raz with the best of em.
I’m sure he’s got the will power and strengh to pull through this……God knows he has his faith in the right place.
GET WELL SOON MIKEY!!! The world wouldn’t be the same without you.
June 29, 2005 at 9:24 pm #370708Just got word that Mike came through the surgery well. Everything went OK and he is still sedated at this time. He did have a triple bypass and is in St. Mary’s hospital. Keep him in your prayers that the recovery goes well.
Thanks,
MikePikester

Is Mike Fischer the older gentleman that also repairs the rod tips etc? I was just wondering because I stopped in the other day to have my rod repaired. Glad to hear he is doing better after the surgery.
July 1, 2005 at 1:21 am #371006Yes Sean, Mike Fischer is the older guy who makes and repairs the rods there. He just looks older because everyone else there is sooooo much younger. [couldn’t resist Mike]
Thanks, BillJuly 1, 2005 at 12:04 pm #371043Latest word is Mike is being moved out of intensive care. Thank you Lord.
Thanks, BillJuly 1, 2005 at 10:58 pm #371214Stopped up and saw Mike this afternoon for just a few minutes. St. Mary’s, Mary Brigh, 5C, room 690.
He looked pretty darn good for someone who has been through what he has. No pain, however, a little tired. Thinks he will be dismissed the first of next week. I think this is the first time I have ever seen Mike without a hat. For a guy his age, he has a good head of hair.He is HUNGRY!!
Hospital food is not to his liking and right now he has a real craving for a Chicken sandwich and French Fries from where else, McDonalds. I am sure his doctors will appreciate hearing that.
Mike wishing you a speedy recovery. Now, get back to work.July 2, 2005 at 12:51 am #371218Quote:

Glad to hear you are home and on your road to recovery.I know you doing OK if you are already beginning to show an appetite. This surgery can put a quash on food for sometime. Keep up your good work.
