Just thought I would give a huge thumbs up to a Rochester based canoe company, River Ridge Custom Canoes. I’ve been using one for about 3 years now, and have to say it is the best small watercraft I have fished in. I’ve fished the Cannon, Zumbro, Root, Chester Woods, Mississippi backwaters, lake Winona, the Chippewa and Flambeau in Wisconsin, and it has been a pleasure. It is a great craft for the small to midsize rivers in our area. It is stable and unlike many other canoes it is set up with fisherman in mind.
Had one small problem with it in three years, and Bill Plantan and his staff took care of right away with not questions asked.
If anyone is looking for a good craft to fish our local waters that’s quite a bit cheaper than a new V-hull walleye boat, check em out, and support a great local business.
