I was at lakesonic early today( my uncle owns it) and a guy that I work with came into wildgoose with what he said was a state record black bullhead. He was sent there by the guys at gone fishing because their scale wasnt registered and wildgoose’s is. I seen the fish in the cooler and it was huge!!!!!!!! He said he caught it in a gravel pit. Dont quote me but he said it was 5.5 pounds!!! Lucky guy!!!!! Troy

5.5 lbs! How much weight would a person need to keep that on the bottom for flathead bait?

I’ll keep an eye out for the newspaper artical.

BIG Bullhead, the current record is listed as a 3# 13oz fish. way to go. the DNR will have to verify the species, and get a cerified weight with witnesses. ANY PICS?????

I talked too dennis, the guy that caught the fish. DNR looked at the fish and said it was a channel cat, not a black bullhead. Troy Pike
