Rochester Still Home Of The Whopper!

    Even though the Burger Kings closed in Rochester the city is still home of the Whopper. On April 10th Jacob Burt of Byron, Mn. caught and released a 37 inch Northern while crappie fishing at Silver Lake in downtown Rochester. In Thursdays [5-26-05] Post Bulletin newspaper there is a picture of him holding the fish. ”Its a whopper!” Congrats Jacob!

    Wow! That was quite a picture. I have heard of northerns in Silver Lake from several people. There are also sunfish, crappie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, bullheads, and probably lots of others.
