Went to Wilow Creek Sunday afternoon for a couple hours. The fish were not biting real fast, but did manage some very nice bluegills, a crappie, and a couple perch. Was a great day to be out!

    Anyone else have any reports?

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

From what I have heard and saw the bite in the Fairbault area has been slow. A little early yet. Drove around that area yesterday on my way from Northfield to Cabelas to pick up some fishing shirts after my 4 year old grandaughters Birthday party. Anybody heard anything on Foster Arends or the Zumbro RAiver between the dam and 37th St. bridge. The water looks low there but there are some holes in that stretch.
    Thanks, Bill

Winona area yesterday. Spillway at Praire Island, main channel wing dams and 3 different back water areas. Pretty close to a skunk. Hopefully things will start picking up soon or maybe it’s just me.

Sunday morning, I had a couple precious hours, so hit Foster. It was the best I ever had out there. I can only suspect they they just recently stocked. If I told you the numbers, you would call me a liar. Six feet deep with hot pink tipped with a wax worm. Had one guy come up and buy one of my jigs. Mike/HOF he will be out to see you.
Then this morning, another couple hours before I headed to a family consultation in Spring Valley. So, stopped at Willow Creek. Oh sure, got some fish and some bites, but not like the last time. Pretty windy today and while I could get bites, it was like the wind was pulling the bobber off their bite. They would bang it, but let go really quick and not hold long enough for that hook set. Meat would hold them just long enough, but still missed some sets. Hey, gotta love it, the best is right in front of us.

Saturday fished with Nate in the rain at Red Wing and the whitebass are starting to slowly move towards the dam. Won’t be long and they will be there in big numbers. Nice size ones too. Casting chartruse pepper ringworms worked best. Mike at HOF always has a grat supply of BFT ringies.
    Thanks, Bill
