Lake Zumbro Almost Ice Free

    Checked out Lake Zumbro on my way home from Red Wing and it ”almost ice fee.” It won’t be long.

    The lake should be in pretty good condition within a couple days. The excess water has already been moving through the system with the levels and flow decreasing, and the water clarity should be getting better. I think next week will see my boat in action out there! Thinking slab crappies and bluegills!!!

    And here I was hoping for a fishing report. From what I hear the water is pushing towards the 50 degree mark and the water is clearing up some. Sounds like some nice crappies are being caught but not alot of them.
