Well while Mike Smith is down in Florida with his wife relaxing out in the warm temps of the sun we are all here stuck with this cold Minnesota weather for right now. Should be a good time to stock up on fishing goodies at great prices while the boss is away. Am anxious for some southern fishing reports if you were able to sneak away from your sweetie for alittle fishing. [hint hint] Mike should be back in a few days now so hopefully we will get a report from him on southern fishing instead of on just how warm and great it was to be out in the sun in short sleeves or topless.
    Thanks, Bill

Hey, I’m back! Temps were in the 70’s and 80’s and mostly sunny. Don’t get shocked, but no fishing was done by yours truly. We did see some dolphins and a manatee right off the dock at our hotel in the Keys! That was a big treat! Saw lots of wildlife and had a lot of fun. It was the first vacation my wife and I had taken in several years and we really enjoyed it. Now, back to reality…… Hope some of that warmth comes up this way!

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Yepper… Mother Nature is bringing the warmth in the form of a big white blanket.

Ya, I know. And I hoping to get on the river this weekend but thats probably shot. Next weekend I will have four grandkids babysitting me so now it will be the first weekend in April if the lousy weather keeps up. Come on Spring. [and in a hurry please] If worse comes to worse I still have my fish trap in the back of my Geo but much prefer the boat behind the Van if you know what I mean.
    Thanks, Bill

(snip) I still have my fish trap in the back of my Geo

Bill, What model Geo do you have. I have a storm and I don’t think my fish trap will fit in it from the measurements. Troy Pike

I have the regular Geo [gas miser version, not the Prism] and my fish trap is the Scout model which is the smallest one man one. Great setup with great gas mileage and my Fish Trap Scout fits in the back with the back seat folded down and it is pretty good at going through snow too. Great little car. Hope yours fits.

    Thanks, Bill

Mike, I sure hope this snow I woke up to this morning isn’t ”your” way of bringing us all a care package of warm weather. I know how much you like winter as you love to ice fish. And here I was sure counting on the 44 degree weather for Saturday that I heard a couple days ago so I could put a few more hours on the jon boat to finish breaking in the motor. There aren’t any ”back to winter” tournaments anywhere are there? At least in March when our friendly neighborhhod mother nature dumps snow on us it doesn’t last long as we have warmer weather. Come on Sun [gotta melt this stuff].
    Thanks, Bill

Since you love all this snow Yukon come get this snow out of my driveway any time Bud. What ever happened to the 44 degree weather for Saturday that they said was coming a couple days ago? I could be out fishing on the river. Is it spring yet?
    Thanks, Bill
