The water at willow creek is realy cloudy. I took the big shack off today and went back to fish later. I talked to about 8 people out there today and no one was getting bites. Troy Pike

Yes, that is what I heard from a couple people. I suppose the bite will get better again with the new snow cover and as the water clears.

I heard from my fishing buddy that he could not see his bobber half way down the hole. He said the water looked like chocolate milk (Saturday). He and his son punched holes all over the pond, talked to lots of fishermen and found nobody had any fish on the ice. It will take a while before this settles back down.

I just returned from there. I fished for about 4 hours and drilled about 10 holes with no luck. We had a flasher and couldn’t find them. Not even a bite. Everyone else said the same thing. Troy Pike

This new and ”heavy” snow could damage things some with the weight pushing the ice downward some too. Its more than just a covering to make the fish feel secure and start biting again. Any word on the effect yet on Foster Arends and other bodies of water close by?
    Thanks, Bill

The ice had a good week of below freezing temps before the snow. Foster is still being fished without trouble and is still producing quite a few trout. Some of the shoreline ice is thin or melted on some lakes, but it was that way before the latest snow.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike
