The crappies are still on the move. They are so finecky right now it just makes me sick, I lost about a dozen nice fish right at the hole and they were so lethargic that they don’t even swim away they just sink to the bottom. If you put your time in you can work up some a nice bunch of fish. We didn’t get any Hogs today but almost all fish were nice. Tight lines Joe & Tim Moenck Drag Smokers Inc.

    Hey Joe,

Thanks for the report! It is finesse time to be sure. That will change very soon now that lots of fresh water is getting into most of the lakes and rivers. Like you said, a little effort and patience will put some nice fish on the ice.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Something I forgot to mention, Water clarity and current was the key to fish location today. Lots of runoff has made for some dirty water, today the fish were liking the cleaner water and were sitting on the current side of the breaks, in the darker water you had to take color in to consideration. Attention to detail will be the key to putting fish on the ice from here on out.

Thanks for the report. I saw the word ”Crappies” on the screen over on the left side where it list new threads and I jumped right on the thread. I sure miss the days when Nate was little and we spent alot of time catching crappies down on Lake Zumbro. Sure was alot of fun and I plan on catching my share this spring and summer. Again Thanks for the post. Always love the panfish reports especially when I have grandkids to get hooked on fishing and panfish are a great way to do it.
    Thanks, Bill
