SNOWMOBILER THOUGH THE ICE AT ZUMBRO?

I HEARD ON THE SCANNER THAT SOMEONE HAD WENT THROUGH THE ICE UP BY SANDY POINT. HAS ANYONE HEARD ABOUT IT.

Yes, three people, a male and female on the snowmobile, the male was flown by Mayo One and was in bad shape. Not sure about the female. One of the water rescue people also went in the water, however, he was rescued and all accounted for.

Correction they had Mayo One fly out because it sounded as though the male was in serious condition, however, apparently this person refused medical attention. Sheriff’s office will be releasing a report at their daily news conference, so all the details should be in the paper or on TV. Still under investigation.

Just got off the phone with my dad who lives in rochester and works with the guy who drove into the water. apparently they were snowmobiling and didnt see the hole and the older fellow drove into water and the youngster followed right behind. Youngster had hypothermia and the older gentleman was pulled out right away so his conditon wasnt as bad. Good thing its not too deep as i guess the youngster was able to stand on the sled and keep his head out of the water. Be safe out there and good luck.
