Fished the back waters today and had a decent day. Fish were not jumping on the ice but you could manage to finesse them. I thought today was going to be the King Crappie day and I did stick some slobs but managed to loose some nice fish to. The fish are still acting a little lathargic but seem to prefer large bait. I would say a little constant weather and a guy should be able to key in on some nice crappies in the future. Tight Lines #5

Joey, nice picture and a great report. Have to admit, I am some what confused. This time of the ice fishing season, I have always down sized to get those finicky panfish to take it. Seemed like the larger baits turned them away, but your report indicates the opposite, interesting and worth experimenting with. That is what makes this site so educational, different reports and different results. No one sided opinionated self-righteousness. Unlike other sites that have reports that are 3 or 4 days old, this site is up to the minute. Thanks again Joey.
