Family is happy and healthy and got some great friends. Tis going to be a Merry Christmas indeed. One of my best presents is the acquaintances made right here in IDA. When you get to be my age, one becomes a little melancholy and think back to the things that really matter, good friends and good times fishing. Mike/HOF and I made lots of memories this last year, dating back to last ice-fishing season. Nice crappies and bluegills right up until late ice and ice out. Then there was the first open water fishing, checking out this place and that, trying to avoid flooding, but yet still managing to get into more nice panfish. Spring found us hitting the Zumbro and those days taught us each something new. Late spring and early summer Mike convinced me to try for Walleyes which I hadn’t fish for in years, and I must admit we had some great success. Then the dog days of summer we hunted the white bass with not much sueccess, oh well, we are true panfishermen at heart. Come late summer and then all fall, we knocked the pannies dead in the backwaters. Here we are, full circle and back to ice-fishing. A great year for sure with a great friend. When I am not thinking about how much fun we had then, I am fantasizing about things to come. Everyone have a Merry Christmas and make some of your own memories.
Merry Christmas one and all.
