Chester Woods =Ice Fishing

    How is Chester Woods for ice fishing. I would think it would be a top destination for the Rochester Area if they bite half as good as the summer.

    where is chester wood??? I took my 2 sons to rochester to fish and ended up fishing silver lake cause I could not find chester wood.

    Yes Chester Woods is very good for panfish through the ice!
    Chester Woods is located 7 miles east of Rochester on Hwy. 14. It is a county park and you need to purchase a pass to enter – either daily or annual.

    I don’t know for sure how much the daily is [maybe 3.00-5.00 but the annual is 25.00 per year which I know I will be buying one. They also have a swimming beach and a nice concrete ramp where you can put a boat in. It is a ”electric trolling motor only” lake. You can have a gas motor on your boat but just can’t use it. The park/lake is about a mile maybe less past Chester on the right side if coming from Rochester. Thanks, Bill
