    I hope everyone here does too, Im making my dressing today for the bird in the morning. Lots of onions, celery, wild rice, the meat from boiled turkey parts plus chicken stock, a generous amont of sage and oysters. Got to have whole cranberries in sauce too.

    Happy Thanksgiving to one and all. As outdoor sports lovers we all have so much to be thankful for. When it comes to dressing my family recipe is the very best. We make a dressing that is unbelieveable. Croutons, onions, sliced apples, raisens, egg and seasonings(pepper and a touch of sage). This is sort of a sweet dressing that is exceptional in wild fowl from duck to turkey. It is also very good in a good old domestic turkey or goose. Eat up and enjoy!

    Just got done putting our turkey in a sugar cure solution which enhances the flavor and turns the meat a slightly pink color when cooked. I have a 6 pack of Hacker-Pschorr Munich edelhell for carving the turkey and a bottle of Chardonnay for the meal. MMM-mmm. Dinner, a little nap, and football. Heaven on earth.

    But, let’s not forget those who are not as fortunate as us or who are gone from home defending our country, no matter what we think of it sometimes.

    By the way, for those who are interested. Thanksgiving is the official start of the lutefisk season!!!!

    Ron said it perfectly. I am also Thankful for all the friends here on the IDA website as we all are a great big fish loving family.
