As we get into the fall time period, I’m curious to see how many of us strictly fish, strictly hunt, or do both?

I strictly fish all year. I used to hunt, but haven’t for several years now.

    Good Fishing,

This cat does both. Wish I had more time to fish, but that summer is a busy time with the family. Got to say I am getting pretty pumped up with everyone showing deer pictures and telling stories. Got to love it!!

There are too many fun things to do in the fall and not enough weekends to do them all. Or do them well. I made a concious decision years back to concentrate on fishing and limit hunting to Deer. November is a little raw to be in a boat anyway (unless they’re really biting). My biggest fish have mainly come in September and October, fish that I wouldn’t have caught if I had been walking in the woods shooting at Grouse.

I deer hunt and fish. I do deer hunt more than fish tho once it starts.

I’m addicted to both but a bit more to deer hunting.

I hunt and fish but the last year or so I have been leaning more towards fishing. I still am very addicted to the sight of a flock of Mallards pitching into the decoys but if it is a nasty day (sunny, bright and warm) I may leave the camo boat at home and hit Pool 4. After Duck season is over,Pool 4 watch out. My personal best walleye came last Dec. 6th.

I lean toward fishing, but I still hunt mainly with my brother since he doesn’t care for fishing, but it is more of an excuse to keep busy till fishing season, U haven’t gotten into icefishing yet.

I love to fish, but during the fall I hunt the second season. I take by brother in law who is only 15 he started hunting with me when he was 12, he has had some shots and missed, and he has missed some deer cuz he couldnt see them 100 yards away. hoopefully this year he will get one. i also turkey hunt in the spring, that is one of the best hunts ever because you get to call the bird into you and not just sit in a tree and wait hope to show off some muskie pictures from my recent trip up north near pequot lakes soon. good fishin and huntin everyone

I fish as much as my 2 jobs will let me. I used to hunt a little but did more target shooting than hunting. Little birds that is Troy Pike

Years ago, when the duck hunting was good in the Weaver Bottoms, we used to get there at the crack of dawn and always managed to get a few first thing. Around 10 AM, when it settled down, go back into West Newton’s gut and fish for crappies and bluegills until mid afternoon. Man those were the good ole days, what do I clean first, the ducks or the fish. Also used to squirrel or bow and arrow deer hunt first thing in the morning, then run over to the backwaters for an afternoon of fishing.
Times have changed, don’t have that kind of energy anymore and the truth be known, while hunting, I was always thinking about fishing and when fishing I was always thinking about fishing some more.
