    Hey all

Fished Zumbro w/ Cpt. Hook01 – it was a tough bite. Got a 25″, 3.4# NP on a white spinner bait w/ dual Colorado blades in the morning. Got it off a bed of cabbage between two docks just down from the Ponderosa.

Then nothing but short strikes and a bite off for me until about 3.30, when I got a 17-18″ LM that went about 2.2# by trolling a deep diver Shad Rap (courtesey of the Cpt).

The Cpt. picked up a LM that went 14″ in the same manner around 1.30. He also got a SM that was short off the dock near where I got the pike, and got bit off a time or two as well. The SM he got was on a wacky rigged worm.

Fresh fish (the pike) sure tasted good yesterday.

    Hey UG,

Sounds kinda slow, but that should change soon. Thanks for the report!

    Good Fishing,

    Jim, what, no pannies?
Was hoping to hear a good report as the time is near for some good gill and crappie fishing again.
    Glad you got out.

Yup kinda slow. But this is a beautiful lake and I’ll be back. Since I’m a river fisherman too, I’m going to try for some of those channels in there. Noticed one that had floated up on the beach at Fisherman’s Inn that must have gone 10 lbs, too bad it was a nice fish.

Glad to hear you enjoyed that pike, Jim. You earned it.
