Yesterday was my first IDA gathering that I have attended. To all those who worked so hard at organizing and putting it together, I just wanted to say, I thought it was a huge success, I had a great time and want to say thank you. All the fishermen who contributed their fish for the fish fry, you are true gentlemen and ladies.
Then there was the people who cleaned and cooked the fish, they didn’t have much time to relax and enjoy like the rest of us. But, I have to tell you, it was delicious and like I told Mike, I could not believe there was so much to go around. Now that was a pleasant departure from the norm. Again to all those who made the event possible, thank you.

Yes it was a great time! Thanks to everyone! It was nice to meet a few people and put some faces to some names. The weather was great, and the food was really wonderful – especially the fresh walleye!

Hopefully next year we can get more Rochester people there!

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

My wife and I orgainized a golf tournament for three years, so I know first hand how much work and time goes into the effort. Phone calls, emails, solicitating prizes, being there to shake hands, etc., etc.. James should be congratulated for his promotion and execution of a successful event. There are several unseen volunteers that also help bring it together. So often they go unnoticed which isn’t fair, however, they are behind the scenes worker bees, so all don’t know or appreciate their contributions. I don’t want to forget to thank the owner of the resort, as a business man he sacrificed by not charging for ramp fees. All in all it was a outing well worth the time.

Ron: Great putting faces with names. My tummy is still full!! And yes I agree on the behind the scenes people deserving credit. Likewise I have been behind some get togethers and you need those helpers to make it work.
