fished for cats on zumbro tues. night……….

I fished for cats on zumbro tuesday night after work. 11:00 pm till around 2:00 am. Couldn’t even get a bite off the trusty old night crawlers. Troy Pike

Was on Lake Zumbro today. Caught a 5-6 lb. catfish while fishing near shore with a small jig tipped with a waxie. It was quite a fight on light equipment! I think the cat may have been in there feeding on the bluegills? We also had a 5-6 lb. northern take a few swipes at a bluegill that my friend was trying to get in. It was lots of fun to watch the northern try to get that gill!

Got out cattin last night. Nice night to be out weather wise, Unfortunatly the jet head’s thought so too …….actually, all those crazy panfisherman were more of a pain in the (did I just say that out loud ). Got out there around 7pm with every intention to bass fish until dark, then go after the cats. Well, the bass fishing turned into a joke having to go around an anchored boat every 30 yds. So we gave that up and headed right to our super secret catfishin hole. And it’s a good thing we did because we ended up getting all of our cats (5) before dark. Missed as many as we caught…….pretty good for a couple hours of lazy fishin………and heck, I didn’t even get my rod pulled out of the boat this time
