Went to hokked on fishing got directions and offwe went. got there with 2 of my freinds and wetossed everything you could think of at them, rapalas, mepps, plastics, bombers, spinners, buzzbaits, topwater. And not a fish to show for it. we did leave at 5:30 though because my freinds started to complain that they wantd to go so i gave in. thinking of heading back there tomorrow and stayinguntil dark. Maybe bring some corn so i cn catch a carp if the toothie action is not there again( tons of carp you wouldnt beleive how many there were)but all in all i got SKUNKED

You could greatly increase your catching ratio if you could do a float trip from Macs down to the Green, County Rd 7 Bridge. I’ve caught musky, northern, sauger and smallies in that stretch.

is that stretch shallow or could i fit my 12″ aluminum sea king w/ trolling motor in there? cuz if i could carry the boat down to the water by the bridge and work my way up i could save the money of having to pay at mac’s. but really dont want a hole in my boat.

There are some shallow spots where you would have to get out and push, but I floated my 13 1’2 foot Old Towne with a trolling motor. I just had to pull the motor out of the water once in a while. The flow is probably strongest right there at the bridge, so you might work up a pretty good sweat getting started. I haven’t been able to get over there yet this season so I can’t speak for current water conditions. (No pun intended).
