Just wondering if anyone else has noticed the severe lack of toothy critters comin out of the zumbro so far this year. In years past it was common to lose 3-5+ crappie jigs per outing to them dang things….this spring, I can count the number of jigs lost to them on 1 FINGER!!! And now that I’ve been doing the bass fishing thing the last few weeks I would have thought I’d run into a few…..But it’s been the same thing. I’ve caught one 31″er and had one follow so far…..and I’ve been throwin A LOT of spinners baits to weed edges and what not…..Just no snakers to be found

I’m not really complaining here, as anyone I’ve ever fished with will attest too…..I really despise having them stinky, slimey, net twisting, tackle theiving buggers in my boat anyway ()……..It’s just gots me wonderin

Jake, take one good look at your pic and you will realize what scares them toothie fish away.
    Thanks, Bill

At least now I know why Jake has never asked me to go fishing with him!!!

(Sorry Jake, we’ve never met, but I’m beginning to feel I know you.)

Don’t feel bad Lew! Jakester and I have never met…but one of his posts started with “Briank doesn’t deserve this but….”

Since then he has changed his mind I’m sure.

One thing I have to give him credit for is that he is Co-Author of IDA’s funnyest post ever. It’s in the Mississippi Cat forum, with the subject line of “How do you skin a catfish” or something very similar (posted about a year ago).

If you ever get a chance to read it make sure you take a hanky along.

It’s good to see that you guys have also noticed the lack of toothies coming out of lake zumbro this year…..For a minute there, I thought I was just doing a poor job of fishing

Anywho…….I guess we can say so much for all the hype that was brought up in this Rumors of Muskies thread

PS. BK, thanks for reminding me about that talking head gig…..I might just have to pull another one of those babies out if this non-sense keeps up

You wouldn’t rip on Bill now would you Jakester?

Remember “Life is one big restaurant and we are the servers”…whatever that means….

When we going fishing? After your legs heal? By the way…where those really your legs? Damn ugly things
