Zumbro River near Oronoco

    I fished the river near Oronoco yesterday after work for about 3 hours. The river was up a bit and I could only see about 16″ into the water. I got 1 carp, 1 sheephead, about 14 white bass(biggest was 12″), 4 smallmouth(biggest was 15″), 1 crappie, and a 24″ catfish.
    I started with a grape ringworm and only got 1 carp. I switched to an all gold panther martin and got a bunch of white bass and a couple smallies. Then I tied on a firetiger Shad Rap and cought everything else on that except the crappie which took a white power jig worm. The mosquitoes were also biting.

    Hey skinnymark, were you below the dam? Where did you access the river at? Sounds like you had a good day.

    I parked right by the dam and went downstream.
