Well Mike took me walleye fishing again today.
Of course the professional guide that he is, he put me on fish.
We experienced every type of weather possible. Sunshine, clouds, rain, wind and then calm. Made for an interesting boat ride.
We ended up taking a couple 17-18 inchers each for supper and released several smaller eyes.
Fished with Shad Raps that ran shallow and bang when they hit, it was hard and at first we thought we had northerns.
Searched a bit and finally ended up finding a nice group that provided lots of entertainment.

Thanks again Mike for a memorial day.
Man, I think maybe I am getting hooked on walleye fishing.

What do you mean maybe? I think you already are. Now you need a jigging rod, a trolling livebait rod, a trolling crankbait rod, a casting jigs and cranks rod, a slipbobber rod, and a leadline trolling rod. Mike, who owns a Bait and Tackle shop that makes rods, knows what hes doing. Opps, did I say all that?
Thanks for the report. Sounds like you had fun and are ”Hooked On Fishing” walleyes.
    Thanks, Bill

Then next you will need reels for all them rods. And then you will discover that you can use ”TWO” rods at the same time on Lake Pepin so you will need to buy double on everything. Oh ya, don’t forget line and lots of tackle for all them new rod and reel combos you just bought. And throw in a big fancy boat and tow vehicle too. Ron, Ron, wake up-you fainted!
    Thanks, Bill

OK, OK already, where are the smelling salts. But hey Bill, I always got you to float me a loan, right?
Lets see what can I pawn. Anyone interested in some golf clubs that haven’t seen any action in over a month. Fishing kept getting in the way.

Trading a golf addiction for a walleye addiction=best trade you ever made. Welcome to Walleye World!!! Its alot more fun than chasing after a ball. Pretty soon you will be like the rest of us-boat cost more than car, fishing equipement cost more than furniture, house mortgaged to buy boat and tow vehicle, but you are loving the highs from catching eyes so nothing else matters.
Really, just teasing you Bud. [or am I?]
Ready to catch that next walleye?!!!
    Thanks, Bill
