Was out Saturday on Chesterwoods caught 1 Crappie and 17 Gills. Some of the Gills were nice size. Seemed they wanted a Lindy Fat Boy. Son changed to one and caught 4 Gills in a row. Tried a Demon and A Diamond but seemed they wanted the Fat Boy more. Did get a chance to try out the new TUCR Noodle. That pole has unbelievable feel.I know I wouldn’t have felt some of the bites with my other rods. Congrats to my Son he finally out fished the old Man. Nice job kid. Great day to be outside.

Nice job, Chuck! I am thinking about hitting the Wabasha backwaters tomorrow with my son-in-law ……. Hopefully, we can find something biting! Keep up the good work!

Posted my experience on Clear Lake in Waseca in the Southern Minnesota forum. To sum it up quickly for you…. we didn’t catch a thing! Few bites and a lot of lookers on the electronics but no takers. Had never fished the lake before and it was sort of an impulse decision to head there so little research was done other than what the local bait shop had to offer. Around a foot or so of ice on the lake with a lot of atv and vehicle traffic.

Zach, I’ve only fished Clear Lake in the summer. Caught alot of bass during the morning and then the traffic got crazy. Didn’t have anything set up to fish pannies that day but know there was alot of them pecking at the plastics I was throwing. On Chesterwoods Saturday the bite really slowed around 12:30. Still saw alot on the flasher but no takers just lookers.
