Spent most of the day Saturday on pool 4 of the Mississippi River. We caught quite a few fish with the usual mixed bag. Several walleyes up to 18 inches, a 7 lb. northern, a couple nice crappies, several strippers, and quite a few sheephead. Started at Colvill Park and fished several spots all the way down to South of Lake City. Most of our fish came on nightcrawlers or leeches on floating jigheads. Best water depth was between 8-15 ft.
The fishing on Lake Pepin should really be getting hot in the next couple weeks!
