Fished several spots in the MS. backwaters near Wabasha/Kellogg yesterday afternoon. The water has returned to normal levels and is very fishable. The fish were not very cooperative yesterday, but it is that time of year when the fish will start biting. With the forcast for the warm temps, this week and weekend should see some great fishing.
It’s time to get out there and have some fun!
    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Playing hooky again I see. What are you predicting the hot baits/lures to be this coming weekend?
    Thanks, Bill

I would certainly have minnows and waxies, as well as a good selection of small plastics and small hair jigs. Use a bobber and adjust the depth until you contact fish. Usually the fish will be a little deeper while the water is cooler and move up as the water warms.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike
