Does anyone know what the word is on the Northern status at the mississipi backwaters at Wabasha or Winona?

    Piker007,

    Welcome to the forum!
I have not heard of anyone doing very well with northerns yet. The backwaters are coming back down from their near flood stage for a few days last weekend. As you probably know, this time of the year can be very good!

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

Well the pike are biteing really good on the Nelson dike road now!!!! But, you may need to fight for a spot! Also Im sure wilcox is pretty productive right about now too. All you need to do is find some shallow weed beds!!

    Hey Piker,

Thanks for the report! What is working best – suckers, shiners, spoons, other lures? Sounds like fun!

    Good Fishing,
    Mike
