chester woods open yet?

    i was wondering if chester woods was open water yet ad if anyboy has tryed to catch sum sunnies or craps in it this year yet?

    Yes, has been open for a couple weeks. There are lots of people fishing it and catching some panfish.

    I was there a couple of days ago and caught nothing. Talked to several people on the water and the landing and they also caught nothing. My buddy went out on Wed. and caught nothing, I think a couple of warm weeks will put the fish back on a feeding frenzy.

    The only people that are catching them right now are fishing similar to ice fishing, using small jigs tipped with a waxie and fishing deep wood. The warmer the water gets, the better the fishing will get!

    i probaly wont go to chester for another cople weeks then bcause i never seem to have any lucky ice fishing chester. musta gone ot 10 times all for a couple hours or more and never caught a single fish.
