Anyone here fish Willow Creek Reservoir recently. I have tried to find information on it but everything is quite old. I heard in the past it produced pretty good but got fished out very quick. So, I am just wondering what the status of it is now. Any help would be great.

There are some bluegills in there to be caught. I’m not much of a Roch waters guy but considering I like to get out once in a while, I’ll hit them up. We had about 6″ of ice last Sun and lots of gills. Some could be considered eaters.

Eaters? my opinion of eaters is about 8″ers and that may be different than everyone else. But I think it may be worth a try. Do the fish come out pretty clean or do they have the black spots or worms in them there?

I couldn’t tell ya. I’ve fished it once this year and once last year. Like I said, panfish just don’t do it for me. I’ll go just to get out of the house.

The fish looked clean, no apparent worms on the outside. I would say you could scratch out some 8″ers.

I see on the map of the lake there is some decent depths up to 20′ or so. Can you share any insight on how deep the fish are at or all they just all over the board.

I would recommend targeting the break on the NE side of the peninsula in the middle. Sometimes there in 7′ and sometimes they are deeper.
