Took the grand kids, Ava (4) & Dominic (7) camping to the Ponderosa this weekend. They caught sheephead, carp, and a few sunnies along the west bank. More FUN than any one grandpa should be able to have. Ava–grandpa, can I touch the worms, can I touch the fish, can I touch the water, go faster grandpa ! ! ! Like I said–too much fun………
Grandpa let the kids and grandma sleep in Sat. morning. I took the boat and a few crappie minnows and landed some beautiful Crappies…… Slow trollin’ in about 15-20 fow. 1/16oz. jig. What a great day ! ! I sure do love my grand kids—–they keep me young ! ! !

yeah talk about a good time. i was also out there saturday with my niece and nephew. we had a great time as well. the nephew fishin’ for bass and he caught his far share and with a huge northern almost taking his bass lure. the niece and i fishn’ for pannies. caught some nice crappies mixed in with some good blue gills. like u said trolling slow was the ticket in this summer time heat. well good luck on the water.
