I just checked the control center and it reports that the lake is slightly more than .5 feet higher than normal pool. The “no wake” was lifted over the weekend. Without any significant rainfall of late and with the water coming down a bit now the lake should be really fishable.

At .5 feet high you’ll have some water rolling over the top. Depending on wind direction you might see more. The plunge pool shopuld be really good right now too.

You are right on the plunge pool. Good luck on the muskies.

Take a drive to Hammond. Take a left after the bridge to follow the river and fish that stretch of water between Hammond and Zumbro Falls. You’ll maybe do better with “skis” along there this time of year.
