Drove out to Lake Zumbro late this afternoon to look at the ice conditions [open water really] and took a few pics from the fishing area at Fishermans Inn. It has a ways to go yet but its getting closer. This pic is looking up river towards Sandy Point.

This pic is facing more towards down river towards Postiers Point as you notice alot more ice. The ice looks VERY UNSAFE.

Shouldn’t be much longer and CrappieTom will be making the voyage out on Zumbro for the first time this year. Tom gets some nice crappies out there once the ice lets him get out.

    Good Fishing,
    Mike

As you can tell I’m getting anxious for the ice to be ALL the way out of there. Here crappie crappie! lol. Been way to long since I’ve just been out after crappies and have some catching up to do. Since Mike F. likes to sneak off on vacation without taking me along maybe when he gets back Mike S. and Crappie Tom and I should sneak out and go find some crappies. By the time hes back from his vacation the ice should be all out. After all, its our civic duty to find where the fish are so Jake might be able to go there and catch ”one”.
    Thanks, Bill

I’m still having ”nightmares” of ice on Lake Zumbro and ”dreams” of ALL open water on Lake Zumbro. I once heard that if a person dreams the same thing 3 night in a row that it will come true. So, with that in mind, the ice will be coming off of Lake Zumbro.
[think I need to go fishin]
    Thanks, Bill
