Where did all the Robins go? A week ago the young of the year had a waiting line at the bird bath. Now I haven’t seen one in the last few days.

Must be flocking up with some heading south and others heading to thicker cover?

Now that you mention it Tom I haven’t seen a robin here in a couple weeks and seen a few early maples starting to change.

Happens every year along with the blackbirds. One of the first signs of Fall. Also look for Night Hawks circling in the evening along with seagulls where there shouldn’t be any!

The Heron is fishing all hours of the day and night in the creek… gearing up for the long flight I guess.

The first Robins are a sign of spring, so obviously when they leave this early it means IDO TV Season 12 is going to be all hard water.

They always “leave” this time of year. They’ll be “back” in fall for the wild grapes, etc.

Bringing this back: I haven’t seen or heard a robin in a few weeks. Saw some nighthawks recently which is on time for them. Blue jays are more numerous. Hummers are still around. There doesn’t seem to be much bird activity in general?

Here in south central WI I’m seeing less robins. Few still around, but not as many. Sandhills are just starting to group up here. Won’t be long to the first frost of fall

A friend of RRR’s said her 75 or so hummingbirds leave every year on or about Sept 10th.

Our first frost at home last year was September 10th.
Saw a few night Hawks last night while sitting by the fire. I’ve seen a couple Robins lately, but not many. Sandhills were flocked up last week, and mostly gone this week.

    It’s coming……!
