Will be heading to Canadian side of Rainy Lake on Wednesday. Due to previous commitment by one of our group we can’t leave early and will be going through the cities near rush hour. Just wondering if there are any major delays and or road construction at this time. Thanks for any info. Plan on taking 35N coming from NW Iowa.

Huge delays. It’s gonna suck, plan an extra hour.

May want to consider taking 35E through the cities vs 35W. Maybe some who drives through there regularly during rush hour can comment on that though.

Take 35e. Construction has 35w backed up. It should only take an extra 15-20min extra during rush hour.

Where in NW Iowa ? I would avoid the Cities altogether.
Hwy 71 or Hwy 15 both go west of Cities, then work your way over after you are north of there.

May want to have Google map it for ya! Just looked and from “NW” Iowa to Fort Francis it sends you up through Willmar to Bemidji. I’d definitely try and avoid the cities.

    35E and you’ll be fine.
If you have passengers you can use the HOV lane

Thanks for the replies.Would consider taking 15 but one of the guys is from IL and am meeting him in Albert Lea so its 35. HOV lane sounds good. Not sure what Fcz is but if its what I think, I just might be.

The real question is when are the cities not under construction?

I would take 35E, wave when you go by. I’ll be working along the ROW that day.
