Any feedback on RLVNT’s glasses? Recommendations?
I saw some advertising for these on a local show. Apparently the Scheels EP and St Cloud have them. They also hid a pair in each store which are free if you find them. Sort of a “scavenger hunt” if you will.
the crappie chronicle boys really like them especially to cut the white light while ice fishing outside. no real world experience from me but i might try them because i trust their input.
I tried on my buddies pair, didn’t want to take them off. I now want a pair. As gimruis said, Scheels in St. Cloud does have them up in the fishing department and I’m sure ep does too. If you like the frames of a current pair you have, doesn’t have to be RLVNT, you can send those to them and they will put their lenses in them. I looked into this for prescription lenses from RLVNT, it $400 in change if I remember right but I think half as much for non prescription.
Joes sporting gods has them. Very nice glasses. They are plastic lenses so they are lighter than the glass Costas. The lenses change with how much light there is so you can wear the same pair early and late in the day as you would in bright sunshine.
Thanks for responses and keep them coming please. Unfornately I live 6 hours from the cities and 4 hours from closest dealer.
I’ve had a pair of RLVNT sunglasses for almost two years. I went with the Navigator frames with chameleon lenses in Freshwater Green. I am in love with them. They have been an all-around glasses for me during every day as well as in the boat and on the ice.
The chameleon tech seems like the real deal, low-light, bright light still just as comfortable wearing them.
My only complaint would be the navigator frames don’t come with a rubber nose piece. I had to get an adjustable strap (which I now love) to keep them snug. I think the new Triton frames come with a rubber nose piece.
If mine broke, I’d buy another pair tomorrow. Also, bonus for supporting a local MN company.
They are very nice. I had the tritans with the chameleon lenses. They are awesome. Makes the bright darker and the dark brighter. Very very nice. Unfortunately I lost mine last season looking back at the boats I was leaving in the dust during a bass tournament and they flew off my hat. I’ll be getting another pair this fall.
OK cool, I remember seeing a commercial or something for them, but then after that I couldnt remember the name of them and needed sunglasses. Ive had to move away from Costas because they cannot cut my prescription anymore and now I have Nike ones and I like those, but not as good as Costa. Maybe I will give these a shot next time.
I’ve had a pair since spring. Great sunglasses, could be a little more snug but the tritons are made for bigger heads. They do a lot with local organizations and tournaments, and Adam seems like stand up guy.
I took y’alls advice and ordered me up a pair.

EPG, how will Belle know that you’re winking at her?
They’re a Minnesota company but are the glasses actually made in Minnesota?
I see they had a buy one get one free sale around early July. Does anyone know if they have promos like that regularly?

I doubt they are made in Finlayson

My last pair of Costas are just that, my last pair. They had an issue with the padding falling off. The new model, with the new design padding I have after about 4 hours feels like vise grips on my head. Could wear my old ones daylight till dark. Thanks Luxottica, for buying and trashing another quality product. My next pair will be Bajio or Smiths. Both also made in the USA. Bajio is engineers and workers that didn’t like the way things went when Costa sold out. They opened shop in Florida. Claim to be introducing new technology Luxottica sat on for cost reasons.
The bajios are made with mostly recycled materials as well if I remember right. I haven’t looked into the RLVNTs but I was considering Bajio’s for the next pair.
I’m with you have smith sun glasses for years nice glasses there customer srevive is next to none . Top notch warranity had a pair that was about ten years old and no longer made that model . So they give me 250.00 credit towards a new pair
50% off hardwater lenses now through Black Friday as well. BOGO is a better deal if you want two pairs obviously.
Any recommendations on chameleon tech lens color for open water fishing? Primarily want to see muskie follows. They have buy one get one free on black friday.
I have the freshwater green lenses and they would work well for your application. They also have a “What lens is right for me?” section on the website that talks about the best application for each lens.
RLVNT is the company that bought The Minnesota Tournament Trail (MTT) from Mike and Renee Holt this past year.
I have 2 pairs of the chameleon glasses, green is what they recommended for my walleye fishing. Haven’t had a chance yet to wear the green lenses fishing though. I bought the first pair for hunting and then talked to them about the fishing lenses.
I like them a lot and was a Costa or Rayban guy before. Wish I needed another pair as the sale is a really good buy.

Thanks, I was leaning towards the freshwater green but always nice to hear from someone with firsthand experience.
