Harbor Bar in Hager City, WI.

Time is loose for now. Have it afternoon and hit the evening bite? Or have it later for those that may be able to sneak away for an evening happy hour?

It’s lil over hour drive from Minneapolis, less if in South metro, more if in North. Be great to put more names to faces and shake some hands.

    First beverage is on me!

Parkway motel is quite affordable for those who may want to spend the night.

Eyestudent and myself will be in my boat Saturday, I have room for 1 more, PM if interested.

I’ll be there. First time sniffing for a cat on Friday night. I’ll likely be recovering at the Harbor from 1-2 pm until Brad runs out of Hamm’s. )

Don’t forget to bring in your cleaned fish. Charlie the chef will fry them up for you with the Harbor’s beer batter.

We may be able to swing through after weigh-in. I’ll send a text when we’re done and see where everyone’s at.

Just notified the Parkway is sold out for the River Get Together weekend.

The Super 8 in Red Wing is very close by and still well under $100. for the night.

Harbor Bar is one of the few places you can come get your fish dinner in the restaurant or just go catch your own fish dinner from the shore.

Bring your pole the fish are biting.
Mike & his son just caught this 9.5lb Walleye right from our shoreline.

We have fun over here in Wisconsin. Come join us!

I really don’t think this is going to be in the cards for me. A majority of my fishing happens during the week…and it’s looking like the next few weeks won’t be any different with a full schedule.

If it’s any help, I was out tonight and last and was able to find some eager fish using a variety of tactics. It hasn’t been super fast, but leadcore, long lined cranks, pitching cranks, and rigging minnows all have put fish in the boat. If 13-14” saugers and eyes’ were the target, I’d be the mostly highly regarded angler in the world. A few nicer fish have been mixed in.

Although the debris isn’t what it was a week ago, I came across 2 entire 40’ trees floating and numerous pieces of wood that’d do significant damage to any boat that hit them. Take your time, and share your successes with the less fortunate who cannot sneak out on the weekend.

No rain gear needed in the Harbor Bar.

I hope to get out Friday evening depending on area lightening.

One forecast yesterday said 77% chance of rain Saturday. Today is shows 30%. Who really knows?

BK, Patty is celebrating her 29th birthday at the Harbor on June 23rd. The gal I’m seeing is trying to convince her (Patty) into a “Dress like Patty party”. I’m sure you’d blend right in so I suggest you dress in normal civilian attire so we can find you.

…..and we’ll be bringing in our WI limit of 25 cats each. 50 catfish oughta be enough to feed the group. That’ll be our contribution.

We decided that BK can clean them all for us, that can be his contribution.

We know how he doesn’t like to keep any cats. Walleye cheeks…ya, cats…no.

Umm well, I was going to keep it a surprise but I did find a couple walleyes. Saved the cheeks just for tomorrow.

What is the size allowed for cheeks? Must be over 15 inches and nothing on saugers…right?

PS if you think I know how to clean a cat…
