River Fishing

I am embarrassed to ask this question but here goes.
I have scoured the fishing regs looking for a definitive answer on whether or not I can fish the Mississippi river by Wabasha
(Robinsons Lake) for Northerns this weekend, this is the MN side. Sent an email to the DNR with no response and will call today if no response to this query. Have a friend up from Tennessee and he wants to catch a Northern. My son’s college roommate says we can fish for them by Wabasha but I just can’t find where it says “yes”. All the seasons start in May in the Fishing regs but he insists this is legal. Where do I find that info or have I already found it and the answer is no? The river has different regs if memory serves correctly.

Stay between the railroad tracks on both sides of the river and you are good to go. Past that it’s inland rules for whatever state you are in.

If you plan on keeping them the rules changed last year. 3 with only 1 over 30″

Try and contact the Game and Parks of your state they may have an answer.

Look at the “Border Water” section of the regs

Found it- thanks everyone – the DNR’s website and phone lines were down the past couple of days and going tomorrow so was getting nervous.
Copied and pasted into my phone
