The Colorado River is 🔥🔥🔥 right now over here on the Western Slope! I went out with my GF and my dad and we had a tremendous day landing several trout species, including a bunch of big ones🎣

We used several different patterns of Dynamic Lures HD Trout, with the hot pink/bubblegum being the most productive of them all. I did some light field testing with the unreleased Z-spec jerkbait (4″ Chartreuse Shad) and it got a nice size brown as well!

Waterflow is still pretty high but visibility has gotten a few inches better since last weekend. Can’t wait for that FALL BITE😀 I attached one of my GoPro’s to my net and got some neat shots… Hope you all enjoy the pictures, video link below as well!!

Those are some absolutely beautiful fish! Not much for trout around where I live. If they exist they are stocked. I dont fish for them. A lake my son fished last Fall and Winter had a bunch of Rainbows dumped in it and they want them all harvested. Ice fishing the boys were having a blast with them but rarely caught them because they thrash around so much.

Thank you! I think trout species are such beautiful fish as well. I used to live in Minnesota (assuming that’s the state you’re in?), and never fished for them either. Moved out here to Colorado and had no idea what I was doing. I love bass, walleye, panfish, and pike fishing but trout fishing is probably my favorite. Ice fishing for big trout is always fun😀
