I’ve been looking to upgrade my current minnkota riptide ST w/co-pilot to one of the newer I-pilot link versions. I oringinally thought I had the option of a $420 kit to make my co-pilot riptide into a i-pilot version- or buy a new trolling motor w i-pilot link. But it looks like I can get a kit that will make my riptide an I-pilot link version- for like $800-900.

    I have a humminbird helix 9 already.

What is my best option for an upgrade besides buying a new ulterra?

The add on kits drain on your battery whenever they are plugged in. The terrova series motors do not. Otherwise they work the same. This is a good time to get into a used I pilot or link motor since they came out with the Bluetooth models for 2017.
