Rippin rap rod

    I’m making a spring trip to Green Bay and planned on using rippin raps. Any suggestion on rod for using #6 or #7 rippin rap

    7” medium with fast tip and braid is a good start. I personally like longer rods

    Agreed on a longer rod. I like a 7 ft rod with a VERY fast action.

    This is my go-to for larger Rippin raps and jigging raps. Its a G Loomis E6X.
