I saw that this morning.. Too damn bad. I really enjoyed his acting.
Augh man, that is a shame. Prime Val Kilmer was as good as anyone IMO, and honestly Top Gun and Tombstone are two of my favorites.
I went to bed last night and turned on the TV. Tombstone was on and it was right at the scene where Wyatt was at Doc’s death bed.
“Why do you keep doing this Doc?” “Because Wyatt Earp is my friend.” “Hell, I got a lot of friends.” “Well I don’t!”
I just love that……. Rest in Peace Doc.
The last scene from Top Gun:Maverick with Kilmer was so apropos. Rumor is that his disease was terminal at the time they filmed. He did both his character and the battle that is cancer justice. RIP.
Yeah it was pretty rough seeing him in that movie the way he was. He wasnt acting either you could tell. He was almost always the villain and a good one at that. I will admit I hated him in the original Top Gun, but he was so good in it.
“Make no mistake, it’s not revenge he’s after, it’s a reckoning”
What a job he played in that role. RIP.
Sad day indeed, will probably be watching top gun tonight with my 12yr old son Maverick, along with our 14week old female black lab named Penny Benjamin.
Great looking pooch Justin! Val was definitely talented, we enjoyed all his films. Even have several on vhs yet..lol. Top secret was always good for a laugh, besides the obvious “Thunderheart” was another good one.

Ain’t that something!
Watched Tombstone last night and forgot how good that movie was! It’s been many years since I’ve seen in and forgot how many big names are in that movie.
I found I can watch tombstone for free on Directv so I started watching it again last night. Never disappoints.
forgot how many big names are in that movie.
Many werent big names at that time, but sure are now! Its funny a couple of them I recognized their voices but not their faces LOL

I said that about Billy Bob Thornton. I knew that voice because I just finished up Landman a couple weeks ago. The woman was arguing with me that it wasn’t him. She looked it up & I was right!

I dont think I have even noticed him in there yet, but I havent watched a whole lot. Its always great to be proven right! Ha! I never would have guess that was him! I just googled it. Nice catch on that one for sure!
Great movie! Buddies and I still quote lines from it. One friend of mine I swear he could quote whole thing! The Costner movie Wyatt Earp came out shortly after and is not even in the same league.
He was one of my favorite actors when I was a teen.
The Ghost and the Darkness, The Island of Dr. Moreau, Tombstone, etc
Heck even McGruber more recently.
RIP Val
