I am looking for ideas on rigging up my hds 7 for inside my vehicle. I have a suv with buckets with no room in the middle. I’ve seen many setup where they are drilled into the dash or floor and that is not an option. If you have any ideas or pictures please share. Thank you.

I have my stand alone GPS mounted to a “sandbag” style base plate, which just sits on the dash. The sand bag conforms to the dash and the weight allows it to stay in place for most normal driving situations.

I just screwed the gimbal to a pc. of wood and installed some rubber
bumpers on the bottom of the wood so it wouldn’t slide on the dash.

I have a CA-8 power cable that plugs into the 12v socket to power my HDS.

If you want to spend the money by not drilling holes and want something solid search RAM computer mounts.
