Apparently the Lowrance ice kit doesn’t fit well with an Elite 7? Anyone have an idea as to the best way to mount an Elite 7 for ice fishing? Thanks.

I mounted my HDS 7 Touch to a vexilar pro pack case using a Ram mount. Works great, sits up a little taller from the ice too depending on the Ram mount you use. I’ll try to find some pics!

November 12, 2014 at 10:15 am #1472531I’d like to hear more about this…I toasted my Vex this summer, was thinking of converting my Elite 5 for the ice. Beyond something to mount it on, what am I going to need and what’s available for battery, ‘ducer, etc.??
And…how spendy will that all be?November 12, 2014 at 1:10 pm #1472606Lowrance makes an ice pack. Spendy but all there. I have an Elite 5 ice machine and there is plenty of room around the LCD. Just mount it to the bottom not on the riser.

November 13, 2014 at 5:34 am #1472784Nice looking box. I made one once, back in the day. This time I thought I’d save a bit of time and weight by going plastic but that’s not a huge deal. I would like to have a box that can fit in a bucket and at the same time be wider than the Elite 7 to protect it a bit from bouncing around.
