Well I headed back out to my shallow water crappie spot today to see if there were still some fish there. I’m glad I made the trip!

I didn’t catch as many fish as last time out, but there were still a lot of fish caught today and was fortunate enough to bring this 14 1/4″ beast onto the ice!

Not a lot of ice out there though, I hope everyone has their wheel houses off the lake, we had anywhere from 8 – 12 ” where we were fishing.

I hope we get a little bit cooler temps so I can get out on the ice a few more times this year!

Looks like one of those infant sleds to the left in the photo. You pull your stuff out in that? I know some guys like their glide lites or small otter sled, but this is the first time I have seen that.

How does that work for you? Bucket fit in the seat?

    Nice fish BTW.

Looks like your camera lens may have some condensation issues. Nice crappie though!

    Nice fish
Hoping this ice holds on for some march fishing in the metro.

One of my buddies brought his two year old out for a few hours, I just lugged my stuff out in a bucket and backpack :).

If I had to guess how well it would work pulling gear, I’d say ‘poorly’.
