So work has me spending one night next week in the south end of Eau Claire. Might just stay at the hotel and eat and have some beers, but if I feel adventurous where would you suggest for a good burger or steak. TIA

There is a place called Grizzlies right by Scheels. Have ate there 4 times and it was always good.

My vote is for Texas Roadhouse too. Always go there when I’m in a place for work that has one. I think I’ve been to about 10 or 12 locations now lol

I agree on Texas Roadhouse. Have been to 6 different locations and it was always good. Never been to the Eau Claire location though.

I have to look now that you guys say it I might have a gift card still for Texas Roadhouse. Hate to go somewhere that I live close enough to just never go out to eat anymore. Thanks for the suggestions so far guys.

I believe there is a Huhot Mongolian grill there. It’s a must stop place. The food is amazing and cheap for what it is.

Huhots been closed since Covid. Grizzly’s is great, Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse even better and a little more pricey. About as fancy as Eau Claire gets.

Guys, he’s not really looking for recommendations.

This is a shameless stealth gloat post. Mr. Highroller gets a prime time, all expenses paid trip to sunny South Eau Claire and he just wants to make sure all of us peons who never get to go glam like him know it.

Just wait until you see all the shots of Jon’s Eau de Wild Weekend hit his Instagram. Cue the party shots. The hot chicks. John rollling up to the VIP entrance shots.

How long do you think he’ll be in town before he utters the infamous words, “Don’t you know who I am?”

I can’t let an EC restaurant thread pass by without stating how much I miss the old Mike’s Smokehouse. It’s been years and I can still taste their bbq. What a loss.

Never heard of it unfortunately. Would have definitely hit it up had I known about that place.

The “bone in” ribeye at the Texas Roadhouse is fantastic.
    I highly recommend it

Head on down to Eleva to Flyin Ryan’s. Great bar. Better food. Even better cheesecake.

If you’re looking for the best happy hour, stop at the Tomahawk room in chippewa falls across from Mason shoes. Everything is half price from 3:45-5:45. They have 14 craft beers on tap and great bourbons, gins and tequilas. Max’s Bistro and the Fill Inn station are only a couple blocks away for great meals.
