Replacing an axle

I’m 99.9% sure I have a bent spindle on my trailer and instead of dumping money on it having it repaired I’m thinking I’d rather just replace it. I’ve found the matching axle (dexter M35 with 90″ hubface measurement) and I’m confident in my ability to swap it out myself, but would those on here more experienced in these thing recommend I go ahead and replace the springs while I’m at it? I do not see any visible issues with them, but they are 18 years old. I see they really aren’t that expensive and I’ll have stuff torn open so to speak down there anyway, but if there’s no real need I’d rather not spend money I don’t have to.
Pretty certain it’s been bent as long as I’ve had the trailer (2013), second set of tires is now showing the same excessive wear on the inside of tread only(first set was only the driver side(did not rotate), this set ive been rotating so they all have it starting to show now), load rating appropriate and inflation always good, short of actually trying to measure it from what ive seen and been told most likely culprit is a bent spindle.

the springs may look good but I bet the bolts are about sawed in half.
just make sure you measure from each hub to the center of the tongue to make sure its square and will trail straight.

Springs can have cracks in them that you can’t see. I would get new ones with new hardware. I broke one going over a railroad track one day. It looked like it had been 1/2 cracked for who knows how long.

Replace the springs. Most of the work will already be done doing the axle.

Had the same issue with mine. A half hour of time and $60 I was on my way. They straightened it using laser. The tech told me a lot of new trailers are bent from the factory. They put new tires on it and the stickers on the tread stayed stuck in place for almost 40 miles. Have over 2000 mi on tires and they still look new. I wouldn’t spend the time and money on a new axle if I didn’t have to.

I was crawling around under it last night and found some more potential issues, thinking I will be replacing everything from hangers on down I suspect now
