    I have a Remington 788 rifle in 243 that I no longer use. It is fitted with a Simmons 3 x 9 scope. The 788 is no longer in production, but is touted as one of the most accurate rifles made by Remington. Unlike current rifles, it has 9 locking lugs located at the rear of the bolt (similar setup to high end Weatherby’s.) Comes with one 3 shot magazine. Stock is wood.

    I bought my father a laminated thumbhole stock from Boyd’s a few years ago for a Christmas present for his 788 in 243. It looks great now compared to the ugly yellow stock it had
