Remington Model 10

I don’t know if anyone here is a Remington expert. I usually collect Winchesters, Marlins, and Brownings. However, after stopping in my LGS today, I seen on the rack a Model 10 that made my jaw drop. When I went to pick it up and seen $349.99 on the price tag, it came home with me. I don’t know much about Remingtons, but the research I’ve done since purchasing tells me it was made in 1927. If anyone out there knows anything, please feel free to share your knowledge. I can take pictures of the stamping on the barrel or whatever you need. If nothing else, enjoy the pics. Thanks!

Nice wood and deep bluing always catches my attention. It has the looks, vent rib, English stock, beautiful checkering. I just don’t know how to figure out what I got. Figure if nothing else, you can’t get a Mossberg 500 for $349.00. The wood itself is worth more then what I paid.

The Model 10 was another successful John Peterson design and Remington’s first pump shotgun, I believe.

Nice stock on that one. Great find.

I’ve got an old one that was handed down.

The wood isn’t finished nearly as pretty as yours though, mine looks more like a modern day express model.

Chuck, the thing I noticed about the model 10 is it’s bottom eject, reminds me more of an Ithaca 37. I took another pic today of mine that really shows the wood well. B Man, have you ever hunted with yours?

The bottom eject really intrigues me. Never seen one in action.

Steve I haven’t shot it yet. Not sure about yours, but the LOP feels really long compared to more modern shotguns.
